Nice and Serious are a great team to work with, bursting with creative ideas and enthusiasm for communicating complex messages through film. They were able to work flexibly to accommodate our needs and helped us move beyond our usual communication comfort zone. Our video about the low-carbon work the National Trust is doing across its estates is an artistic, beautiful and inspiring piece of film and we are delighted with the finished product.

ActionAid worked with Nice and Serious on a campaign video. They were absolutely brilliant – really creative and energetic and bursting with ideas. They totally made our idea come to life. They were also extremely professional, delivering everything as agreed and to budget. A total joy to work with! The quality of their work was extremely high and the final video was extremely slick. Overall, I would recommend Nice and Serious and they’re ethical too!

Nice and Serious don’t just deliver a high quality product, in our case a short film shown throughout the world on ‘Ocean acidification – connecting science, industry, policy and public’, they take a real interest in the topic, provide innovative thinking and understand the challenges of communicating complex messages.
Thecla Keizer, Plymouth Marine Laboratory
We are a marine nutrition trade organisation which was looking for a new medium for our responsible supply chain and healthy omega 3 messages. Nice and Serious’ fresh, informed and lively approach won a pitch to make two short films for YouTube, Vimeo and presentations. Their film crews impressed interviewees for the films wherever they went, be it a corporate HQs at Heathrow, a conferences in Peru or a loch side fish farm in the Scottish Highlands. Team leader Matt Harmer’s knowledge of biology and environmental science saved lots of time and the animation sequences were excellent. Good results, great service, delivered on budget… and enjoyable to work with!

Nice and Serious team did a great job at The Carbon Show 2010. The team are professional, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much effort and they really made the event an interactive experience, producing a fantastic show reel for us to use as we develop the show for 2011. I would highly recommend the team and we look forward to working with Nice and Serious again next year!
Zoe Ingle, The Carbon Show
Nice and Serious created an animated ident for BAFTA’s Greening the Screen event which looked at sustainable practices in the film, television and games industries. The team did an amazing job, animating the event’s logo and creating a beautiful signature statement which we used throughout the event itself. From a basic template and rather sketchy brief they produced a 15 second piece of animation that managed to capture everything we wanted to say about our approach to sustainability. The team were a delight to work with, accommodating and responsive to all our needs and they work sustainably too! We would highly recommend their services and hope to work with them again in the future.
Louise Anderson, BAFTA
Nice and Serious were great at understanding the messages that we wanted to convey in the film. The film has enabled the MSC to deliver a complex subject in an engaging and informative manner.

From the start, it has been a pleasure to work with the team at Nice and Serious. They consistently demonstrated enthusiasm, professionalism, tight project management and excellent communication throughout the process of developing our videos. In addition, the quality of the videos is first class and have more than fulfilled our original brief. The Energy Saving Trust have used them a few times, and definitely plan to use them again, and would not hesitate to recommend them.

We were embarking on an important new project for ICAEW designed to bring sustainability to the attention of SMEs. The Nice & Serious team could not have been more supportive in what was for us a new area. They are enthusiastic, bubbling with good ideas and very understanding of our busy workload, turning work around quickly when required. We are delighted with the end result and all of us have enjoyed working with them.

The Green Communities team have worked with Nice and Serious on a couple of projects and they have consistently been top notch. Their sound environmental knowledge means they really understand any brief we throw at them, mixing this with their creativity leads to the production of some excellent videos. We’ve had great feedback on their professionalism from the community groups who Tom and Ben went out on location with which is hugely important as a contractor representing your organisation. Would fully recommend them!
Sara Harrison, Energy Saving Trust
For me, as Green Team co-ordinator the workshop has inspired the team members to greater action. It has meant they really feel they can get their messages heard and have fun while doing it. Our small camera is being used frequently and we have plans to make a small film of our own. Since the assembly showing the Buzz we have had 5 new members join the team! Thanks so much guys.
Maria Wilby, Five Islands School, Isles of Scilly
Nice and Serious made a film which was good and fitted our brief, and they were responsive and delivered on time. And more than that, they were indeed both nice and serious – enthusiastic and professional to work with!
Sarah Castell, Ipsos Mori
Nice and Serious are clearly passionate and informed on environmental issues and how to bring them to life for different audiences. Their concept of Professor Planet films has worked wonderfully, and we are delighted with the finished product.
Sally Horrox, Global Action Plan
It is an absolute joy to work with a crew that bring such energy and enthusiasm to a film project – Nice and Serious made the process natural and stress free which is so important when working with children and important issues like climate change. Nice and Serious played a key role in the success of our WOW – Wipe Out Waste awards not just in delivering the project but also by being part of our team and contributing to the amazing journey we all experienced – looking forward to the next chapter with our WOW 2010 programme!
